  2. [ubuntu] Re: Is there a way to install Ubuntu without GRUB taking over booting of the computer

    To jeremyswalker

Yes that sounds like what I'd like to do: Preserve the MBR so that I manually control which partition is booted by setting the Active partition. BTW I do that with Partition...

I have a system with more than one version of Windows XP in different partitions. I chose which one I want to boot by using a tool to set the Active partition to the one I want to boot. Then every...

  6. Re: C - Running a server program on the same box as a client?

There might be security problems using port 80 (HTTP default) in which case parametize your code so you can use another port > 4096(??) while testing. 8080 is often used for testing servers.

Re: Creating My own mp3 player using C

    Sounds like an interesting project.
Reading bytes from some source (an mp3 file) and making sounds from them will require lots of research. Or is this just a front-end for an existing mp3 player?...

    Re: Geany Question [java related]

The doc for java should help with options etc. For Linux it would be something like this:

    Re: Geany Question [java related]

I'm not on Ubuntu right now to check, but I think that's right.

You'll also have to add those jar files to the classpath in the second commandline for when you try to execute the program.

Not sure what you mean by "on top of one another". Is each button added to a separate component or to the same component?

You need to post your code so we can see what you have coded.

You can have more than one class defined in a .java file by having them not be public.

You can NOT extend final classes!
