Dedoimedo, thanks for the info, helped alot. The problem was, I was using the wrong parition to load the grub on. Everything works now, can boot to Ubuntu and Xp now.
I will give it a try when I get home from work.
I tried the APC way of reinstalling the Grub Boot Loader, but when I get to the Setup command, I get "cannot mount the partition"? Any ideas?

I have install Emerald and ran the cmd emerald --replace. Emerald controls the themes to a point

You have to be kidding me. MS did not steal the name lornhorn from a dip can. Longhorn term has been around for a long time. I doubt Ubuntu stole the name from a Cigerette Company....get a life.
