Go to System > Administration > Login Screen...

unlock it and check which login screen was selected ...and select "ubuntu" if any other selected..

Remove Office suite completely...then restart the machine... after do a fresh office installation in online..

But I couldn't succeeded to disable cd/dvd rom.. I need to do it in the OS only..because there are more than 100 notebooks. After I disable I have to clone the main image...

Did you try installing xubuntu 11.04....? that will solve your problem.. if u still need ubuntu desktop install ubuntu-dektop and u can have it..

I installed Xubuntu 11.10...its also not supporting ...what happened after installation is..just login screen came..and wen I type password it doesn't showed anything...just a flash lighting..no...

and it has other problem ..i.e..after 30 mins LAN connection disconnecting.. then if I need LAN connection I have to restart system again...(this problem occurs in some systems only..)

Freaking means when I restart system "ubuntu loading screen coming..its not going further step to login screen..even though I wait 30 to 40 mins of time.

if u r installed inside windows uninstall on control panel..

otherwise the best way is to delete/format the drive by rebooting with any...

HP laptops were not supporting for ubuntu OS.. Its better to use any other OS like windows... the problem is with drivers. getting drivers for ubuntu of hp systems is difficult..
