thanks mate, was pretty annoying but looks perfect now.
Sounds plausible. I will check the battery.
Ok, I googled on the error and found out that most probably 'Cool 'n Quit' is disabled in the BIOS. However, I remember I have enabled this while back and haven't touch it since, I just check and...
I found this in the syslog:
May 11 08:54:44 quad kernel: [ 0.889784] powernow-k8: Found 1 AMD Phenom(tm) 9500 Quad-Core Processor processors (4 cpu cores) (version 2.20.00)
May 11 08:54:44...
Strange, I also added the applet but every reboot it gives an error CPU scaling not supported. But in Karmic and previous versions it was working (after loading in the required modules).
What do...
When I execute powernowd I get the following error:
powernowd: PowerNow Daemon v1.00, (c) 2003-2008 John Clemens
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/affected_cpus: No such file or directory...
In Lucid I cannot get CPU scaling to work anymore, in previous Ubuntu releases this was not a problem with the same hardware (AMD Phenom 9500 Quad).
I used to load module 'powernow-k8' and...
yes...this works (removing gnome-codec-install).
I am experience this behaviour too! Very annoying, pulseaudio is in 9.10 still very buggy :(
Still no luck....I have tried to compile the kernel including the patches however got some errors. I decided to give Jaunty a try together with the driver from the ppa. Now everything is fully...
I added this driver from Markus Heberling ppa
and after reboot Wireless is working fine.
I am using a Asus Eee 1001HA.
Thanks a lot.
UPDATE: after another reboot, wireless is broken again....
I have also problems with pulseaudio in Karmic. Sometimes one of my sound devices disappear in padevchooser. After a reboot it's back again. I have a intel onboard and a SoundBlaster Live
I was also a bit scared to see Beta for such thing a GRUB. But at least i didn't have any problems with it yet (running for couple of weeks)
Same here...it has to do with the new api and the discontinuation of the old api. Hopefully this is gonna be fixed soon, as I really begin to like this player.
Unfortunately, it is not solved in the...
install padevchooser...this is a system tray application where you can specify for each program/source on which sound card it should play...works like a charm
Did anyone find out how to keep your music playing when you switch to a different user?
Pulseaudio should be running system wide, however I do not get that working.
I also get this, but I am not a paying last.fm subscriber....I assume you are??
Yes, Floola is perfect, if it works ;) Sometimes it happened to me that it wouldn't nicely close/unmount which resulted in data corruption. Now I am trying out Songbird, which seems to have very...
Did you figure this out? I also like to know this....
There must be other programs which are doing exactly the same under Ubuntu. Did you already tried it with Brasero which is install by default?
The latest 185 drivers rocks! No more tearing, even with dual screen setup (separate X, no xinerama).
I share the same experience, although with the latest beta's it seems becoming better.
But since the release of Opera 10 beta I really be astonished about the speed and fully Ubuntu support. All...
