I've tried resetting my pulse configuration and the sound is still choppy, when the model is set to 'ecs'.
On the other side, when the model is set to 'auto' or '3stack-6ch', the audio quality is...
The headphone problem was solved when I put 'ecs' in the file, but the audio was very choppy.
It won't work with intel-alc889a on my PC.

That is for Ubuntu. It doesn't work in Kubuntu :(
I get an "Command not found" error when I try to to that.
I've also tried with
kdesu kate /etc/x11/xorg.conf too, but the same error appears.
