I think this is indian or a similar language, try going to google's homepage and clicking on "go to google.com" and see if the problem persists
thanks, the problem seems to have been solved now,but I notice tearing when dragging windows across the desktop, xorg drivers didn't have that problem
no,the xorg drivers are better than the ones by AMD
the proprietary ones have a problem with 3D,the last time I installed these drivers was a disaster
does this problem have anything to do with...
sometimes when I boot into ubuntu Maverick,I see a blinking cursor and then nothing happens,it stays like this forever
I have to boot into recovery mode, then boot normally to get it to boot...
Thanks,guys :)
I had no idea it was in the repos
I downloaded the debian binary distribution (64-bit) from the official website of Code::blocks
I tried to install it on Maverick, but the software center gives me this error :
Dependency is not...
maybe kdm isn't running
you can shutdown your computer by typing sudo halt in a terminal
I don't see a necessity in changing BASH commands, they've been around for a long time,a lot of people got used to them the way they are
and by the way,rm is more practical than typing "remove"
edit the file /etc/fstab
you'll find your partitions listed in the file, probably with the flag "noauto",which means that they won't be automounted when the system boots, change that flag to "auto"
OpenSuSE might be worth a try
Seether - Fake it
the resolution can be set from Nvidia's control panel
press Alt+F2 and type nvidia-settings
Thanks a lot,I'll try that now :)
Bump
Has anyone tried it yet?
I have a win7 on sda1,will grub identify that installation?
I tried installing Arch Linux before and it didn't even recognize the presence of win7 on my Hard Drive :(...
Most People go with Adobe's player, including myself
Is that a fresh install or an upgrade ?
the plugin installed properly on my virtualbox installation of 9.10 using s/w center
I got it from Adobe Labs
You'll find more info there :)
From the "System" menu, choose "Administration" then "Hardware Drivers"
This will show if you have any restricted drivers in use on the system :)
I'd advise a fresh install, the upgrade doesn't always go as smooth as a fresh install
make sure to backup your data before attempting the fresh install
there's an experimental flash plugin for x64 machines
Get it here
Try installing the drivers through synaptic instead
i'd recommend that one too.
