The voltages are ok. I don't really know what's wrong. The S.M.A.R.T. is also good, both drives pass.

Unfortunately, not all the games will be on there.

SteamOS won't solve the problems.

Also, do not forget about game piracy, which is always eminent.

Have you tried running Boot-Repair to fix GRUB?

Boot it from a USB or CD and choose recommended repair.

My point with this thread is suggestions for Canonical. I know they probably won't hear but at least we get to discuss what things should be changed.

Then, make a bootable USB or DVD using Unetbootin.

Boot from the USB/DVD and run it.

Did you install Ubuntu on the same disk? Are you sure? Did you select "Install Ubuntu alongside Windows XP?"
