I tried it, but installing nvidia-prime only well, installs nvidia-prime and nothing else, trying to do
prime-select query gives Unknown as the result. :/

Now I dont thinks its a geany issue. When I refresh thunar manually after saving the files do go automatically. So im guessing this is something wrong with thunar.
After I recently updated geany seems to be creating a copy of a file when it is saved. But when I close geany all the extra files are deleted. Is this normal ?

Hey, I tried another session like you suggested(gnome classic) and it worked fine no menu issues!. So I'm guessing its something with Cinnamon or JRE. Thanks!
