    Re: Awesome IBM Linux Commercial...

Didn't quite work for me, but maybe it was just because it was small. I liked the end though, especially "the future is open" - it's something we should all remember.

    We should really get some...
  6. Poll: Re: In your opinion is Ubuntu a serious rival for OSX and the upcoming Windows Vista?

It depends what users want - if they want a nice little useful OS that can handle office tasks, but can scale for web developers and programmers, Ubuntu's good - I really like it, and find it just as...
  7. Re: I need a little help with a Web Development Project

I think I misunderstood you - i thought you meant it was now being published by someone else! Good riddance anyhow - I've never been a fan of WYSIWYG editors, especially those that don't even seem to...
  8. Re: I need a little help with a Web Development Project

It isn't? Wikipedia says it is, and it was in the beta of office 2007 (I think)
  9. Re: I need a little help with a Web Development Project

I think you can set your location, or not use locational advertising at all - I'm sure google have thought about that. I'd shop around though - see where you can get cheap rackspace - by the sound of...

  12. Re: I need a little help with a Web Development Project

So would I be right in thinking that all you need is a site that has google adsense ads on, and some membership features that allow people to add a couple of lines of text to a page (or something...
  13. Re: Why did you use Linux(in general) and Ubuntu(in particular)?

My hdd went a while ago, and I couldn't be bothered to get an XP reinstallation CD, so I installed Ubuntu, as I had already ordered some CDs, and they were free

My main reason for using it though...
  14. Re: I need a little help with a Web Development Project

Web development is one of my hobbies, and such, hopefully some of the following may be helpful.

You have clearly missed the point of Eurovision - ALL the songs are crap! Although that one with the prosthetics that won last year was pretty good - it was pure jokes!

Poll: Re: What do you do with MS Word files?

  23. Re: If you Have Ubuntu, Why do you still use Windows or OSX

You can get dedicated IP phones that plug into an ethernet switch/hub/router, which are pretty much platform indepandant, as the only thing you need a computer for is setup, which is done by a built...
  24. Re: IE7 3M downloads in 4 days, FF2 2M downloads in 1 day
