[ubuntu] Re: Why is audio so complex on linux?

SGX, I don't think Complexity necessarily equals freedom. Or in this case, it has to. This is what would be nice: You see Ardour in the Ubuntu Software Center. You download it and it configures...

[ubuntu] Re: Why is audio so complex on linux?

On the original question of Linux having complicated audio systems.

I wish the EPIC FAIL tag would go away.

[ubuntu_studio] Re: VOIP with JACK and CLI?

I believe what you are looking for is netjack... It's not VoIP per say, but it would allow you to talk by simply having your friend connect a microphone to jack, and transport it to you...
