I may be a bit late to the party, but go into Ubuntu Software (the old software centre) and then select the updates tab. You will probably see the updates there. Not sure why we now have 2 places to...
I agree. I too stumbled on this popup. I opened software updater and it said that my computer was up to date. Seems odd that now we have to check two places for updates to make sure our systems are...
It's not installing for me either. Maybe there is an issue with the file that will be addressed in a day or so.
Update - I was able to get Chrome to install using the command line - sudo dpkg -i...
I wanted to let everyone that subscribes to MLB Gameday Audio, it is finally working on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. Granted, it has been a while since I have tried but after the latest NSS update I logged into...
I guess I should have looked a little closer. The answer was found in a link in the article itself - http://www.ubuntu.com/usn/usn-2350-1/

I did a search but didn't see this posted as of yet. With being more of a Ubuntu user and not really one that...
Ok, I believe I understand the process a little more clearly now. I was under the impression, quite wrongly, that when this bug was reported on October 22, 2013 that the developers would have been...
Thanks for the reply. It's disappointing that the bug is almost a year old and has yet to be fixed. However, it is a minor annoyance so perhaps something most can live with if they want to use the...
I am giving Evolution email a try and am noticing something rather odd. When a new email comes in, the envelope on the tray will turn blue letting me know there is new email. When I was using...
After reading through this thread I have decided to give it another try. I used it a few years ago but ended up going back to Thunderbird for various reasons. But after installing, I am impressed....
I felt the same way when I first started using Ubuntu. But I stayed with it and little by little I became more at home with the o/s. Now if I boot into Windows it feels awkward and very...
I couldn't agree more. This is the main reason I have my system automatically check for security updates daily as well as download and install them automatically. This way my system stays secure...
I would really like to see this available on Linux as well. I usually just listen to Game Day Audio on the tablet or Android phone. But to be able to see it on the larger monitors of the desktop...

Enjoyed the video. Thanks for posting the link.
I had the same error a few days ago. I had samba installed on the ubuntu machine and had sharing setup correctly on both machines. What solved my issue is a restart of the windows computer. Once it...
You can also open the dash and type terminal
Hello to everyone. Jeff from Edmonton, AB here.Been using Ubuntu on and off since 9.04 but have really been committed since 12.04 LTS.
Stay safe out there, everyone.
If you aren't using any type of encryption all of your passwords for email, banking or anything else you happen to be doing are going out in the clear.
Do you have WPS disabled? If not it may be an indication that someone may be trying to access your router. If WPS is on I would suggest turning that off and changing your password.
Instead of doing an upgrade I would suggest backing up your data and doing a fresh install. There seems to be far less problems by doing a full install.
However, if you really want to attempt an...
What about booting from a live CD as a test? I wonder if the problems would still be there or if you would be having the same issues?
Try doing a clean install. From everything that I have been reading on the forum it seems like people are having problems after an upgrade. However once they do a fresh install a lot of the problems...
