    [SOLVED] Re: Firefox dTa problem.

Torrents are slow and useless, I'd give JDownloader a shot, and it should resume, but only if you have premium accounts:

[ubuntu] Re: Ubuntu version or LTS for noob

If you've been using Windows for years, Linux will be painful as you need to relearn mostly everything on what you've done previously and adapt to an OS that is different. I would say the LTS release.

You won't get it working until you crack the protection with MakeMKV and stream it to VLC, which is still working last time I checked.

Re: is that xubuntu in bud light commercial

Who actually drinks Budweiser? Utterly horrible factory imitation of lager that isn't real beer. . . but I digress. That commercial is probably a mock up.

Re: Have you looked at Xubuntu?

On a netbook that would be true if its 720p or higher, if its a desktop install GPU drivers. I've never had a problem with VLC over here. I'd also blame the media file first.

Re: Have you looked at Xubuntu?

Ahh, in a Debian XFCE install, you use Thunar, the native file manager of XFCE. Also, this version of XFCE uses the gnome tango icons for the menu. No bits of GNOME, so no Nautilus, no Gdebi, and no...

Poll: Re: What should I upgrade first? CPU or RAM?

The GPU will not heat up the CPU unless your choice of GPU dumps air into a case with poor airflow. All of these choices have great ariflow, so that is not an issue.

I'd go for the Raven, seeing as I don't like the look of the HAF, and I bought Antec before, so time for a change.

  25. [SOLVED] Re: Is Hardy Heron a good candidate for an old laptop

    Check out Debian:

    http://www.debian.org/CD/netinst/

You won't need more than 128MB, preferably 256MB for XFCE .. . . Hardy Heron is obsolete.
