  1. [ubuntu] Re: Synaptic repo update problem - sanity check

    *Bump*

In my lucid 64, I cannot add repos by opening Synaptic > Settings > Repositories. When I do that, it just updates them - no dialog appears.
  2. [all variants] Change dark font color on dark OpenOffice toolbar - how?

I'm exasperated with OOo and its apparent inability to play well, and consistently, with dark gtks themes. You may have noticed that many dark themes that worked fine in OOo2 are now broken again. So...

Okay, there's tones that is just awfully wrong about this.

  6. [all variants] What's the Point of New Versions Anyway??

Perhaps I'm missing something, but what's the point of new versions anyway?

    [ubuntu] Re: Upgrade Dependancies fail

This is absolutely ridiculously inexcusable incompetence. Don't these developers try to, er, actually install their upgrades before releasing them? This is exactly the sort of reason why Linux...

  12. [ubuntu] Re: LADSPA Plugins Not Working in Audacious 2.1

Since glib was updated, the back version of the plugin no longer works. This means that Audacious basically sucks now, since you have to configure the LADSPA plugins each time you open the program. :(

[ubuntu] Re: The Ubuntu/Gnome Dark Theme mega thread

There is actually a Firefox theme based on Ubuntu Dust, called Ubuntu Dust. You can search for it.
  14. [gnome] Re: "Nautilus cannot handle Computer: locations"

IN my case with 9.10, I had installed glib to compile audacious. Removing it manually as described on page 3 fixed the problem.
