Maybe just paste two images side by side into a bigger image and use that?

[ubuntu] Re: 8.04, GeForce 7600 GT

You probably had problems because you hadn't yet updated the package list so the driver manager didn't know where to get it. Or something to that effect ;)

    [all variants] Ati/AMD Radeon 3870

    Hi,

does anyone have any experience about this card? I'm thinking of buying one.

I have an Nvidia 7600GT but it's binary blob only so my plan is to buy this ATI card and wait for the OSS...
  10. [ubuntu] Re: Setting up Linksys WRT54GL to work under 8.04... Help!

Yeah 192.168.1.1, I don't know what happened but somewhere along the line the web admin page died, that is, I can't get to it anymore. Used to work fine.
  11. [ubuntu] Re: Setting up Linksys WRT54GL to work under 8.04... Help!

I have this same problem. I can't get to the admin interface. I've tried resetting the router to defaults (hold down the button in the back) but I can't get to it. Traffic still flows through it.

    Re: Upgrading to Intrepid already???

    Well,

Re: Programming Challenge 10: Accurate Floats

I was thinking the same. Here:

I think Wubi adds ubuntu to the windows boot menu, so c:\boot.ini would be the place if I remember correctly.

  22. Re: Good graphical programming environment for Ubuntu?

MonoDevelop was mentioned and I like it quite a bit. I hear it's getting much better soon, VS2005-style code completion/suggestions. (there is this kind of functionality but not quite so good as VS)...

Re: C just makes my brain ache

I thought the issue was "scripting vs. compiled" so that's why I suggested C#. Compiled (CIL, yes), and with garbage collection. If you really want to get dirty then you can ;)

Re: C just makes my brain ache

Probably not what you're looking for, but have you considered C#? That's a compiled language (not in the sense that C is but anyway) and you avoid the pointers etc.
