Sounds a lot like a bios problem. Do a bios update at first, i recommend.
With Jaunty and with Karmic i had no problems with Suspend/Hibernate neither with the Intel nor with the ATI card.

Same Problem with T400 and ubuntu 8.10 using Internal Graphic Intel 4500!
On wake up system freeze with black display and mouse pointer, after few seconds system reboots.

Got two error...

With Ubuntu 8.10 rc the integrated webcam works out-of-the-box!

Best HOWTO ever! I spend about half a year to get this wireless lan card running. Now with your help i got i in half an hour! Thank you!
