The 132 problem is 99% unique to WoW. The exception being 1 or 2 people who simply had bad sticks of RAM that caused the same error in one of the new top of the line...

Yep, the 270 Mb file is the one you need... at least it was for me anyway.

win32 install CDs = Your original game disks. Look in the CDs and you will see, read the how too and you will learn and know.. : )
Doom 3 has it's very own native linux client, no need for wine.. there is a how to do it here and another one here and here too.. in fact a quick "installing doom 3 ubuntu" in google will show you...
Are you doing, in a terminal ...
wine /path to where ever you CD is mounted/Setup.exe
Try disabling sound from within the game settings, or another thing is to rename the folder... 'Jukebox' to something else.
