    Re: Can't edit Lugaru?

You're editing the wrong config file. The real config file is in a hidden folder, .lugaru. Look for it in your home folder.

Re: Any News on Steam client for Linux?

That simply IS NOT TRUE. I'm getting really sick of this.

Re: Any News on Steam client for Linux?

And I'll bet you won't see it ever.
  5. Poll: Re: Do you strongly prefer for your OS to lack proprietary software....

There's no "I don't prefer open source drivers" option. I prefer what works and I don't care if it's proprietary.

Re: So what's the latest on Steam?

People still keep linking to this as if it means something. It doesn't mean anything. Valve did not confirm anything. Valve's official stance is still "no plans for a Linux port." See the link below,...

Re: So what's the latest on Steam?

Because linux gaming isn't profitable. They're not mindless zombies. Porting is expensive and time consuming.

Poll: Re: Are you affected by this wireless resume bug?

Hmm...must be why Hardware Drivers didn't recommend it for you. I can't imagine why it doesn't work for you though...

Poll: Re: Are you affected by this wireless resume bug?

I think it would definitely be worth trying the B43 driver. It's what I use for my Broadcom 4311 wireless card (almost what you have) and I haven't had any trouble whatsoever. I just tested and it...
  10. [ubuntu] Re: Considering switching to Ubuntu - Some Questions

I wouldn't worry about it too much. You will need a window manager, there will be on installed by default, but you won't even know it.

This absolutely will not be a problem. Firefox in Ubuntu...
  11. Re: Could anyone give me an opinion on these laptops?

I would definitely go with this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834146613

    Great specs for the price.
  12. Re: If gaming comes to linux, what's the point of windows?

I guess I would stop using Windows completely if >=95% of the games that interest me were made available on Linux (that's a HUGE "if"). And come on people, wait for Valve to actually SAY that they're...

[ubuntu] Re: How to get Ubuntu?

There are many ways. Most importantly, you can download from the official website http://www.ubuntu.com/ (torrents are fastest). They also offer a "ship it" service on the site where they will send...

    Re: Free to Play MMORPG?

Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited might be something to look into http://www.ddo.com/
  18. Re: Do you think Star Trek Online will be available for Linux users?

Like others have said, it won't happen.
  19. Re: How important do you think gaming is to Ubuntu's success?

Dude. That just is not true. Windows 7 (and all other current Windows versions) are far better with games than Ubuntu.

Re: 1st person shooter game for Ubuntu

If you're looking for a single-player campaign, forget about it. They're not there (unless you're willing to buy Prey or something). Nexuiz and Warsow are probably the best shooters for Linux, but...

    Re: Crysis Clone?

When you say "Crysis clone," surely you don't expect anything anywhere close to being as graphically impressive, right? Just checking.

But either way, there is nothing of the sort. If you want to...

Re: What Do You Call an RPG?

I don't really see the point of giving a precise definition of RPG. What you call it doesn't change how it's played, and besides, there will always be someone who doesn't agree with your definition...
