Check the Xorg logs and the Kernel logs.
  11. Re: The biggest problem? The developers mindset.

One thing which i have noticed is that bleeding edge hardware support takes a while to come to the linux world. In these cases i always suggest that a Virtual Machine is used.

    [ubuntu] Re: Remove internal webcam

    1. First of all make a backup of the config.xml.
    2. You need to find "/dev/video0" and replace it with "/dev/video1", save the changes and restart skype if it is already running.

    [ubuntu] Re: Remove internal webcam

There is this config.xml which might be helpful in your case:

    I think its in "~/.Skype/SKYPEID/config.xml"

Remember to restart skype once you make changes to this file.

[PPC] Re: Wired Networking - Not Connecting

I suggested that command, as i just wanted to check if you manual config had some issue.

Had there been no driver, you would not see eth0 at all.

Maybe you could have tried ethtool.
