The advice is, provide more info. The following outputs should be useful:
  2. Re: set Ubuntu back to a "recovery point!?

No, Ubuntu is not Windows. There aren't any restore points, unless you make one.

You can reinstall the default set of programs by reinstalling the "ubuntu-desktop" package, which may have been...
  3. [ubuntu] Re: Failed to set MokListRT: Invalid Parameter - I am scuppered!

  4. Re: Why Are EU Ubuntu Communities Like Ghost Towns ?

The article tells you what happened. :lolflag:
I'd also point out, that particular blogger has been an Ubuntu hater for some years. Hungry for clicks, he's been all too happy to trash talk Ubuntu...
  5. Re: Why Are EU Ubuntu Communities Like Ghost Towns ?

People have real lives, jobs, obligations. An Ubuntu community is a hobby at best, and most people's free time is limited.
For better or worse, this forum is not what it used to be 10 years ago,...

    Re: Intel or nvidia?

Both should work well. Nvidia is obviously more powerful, both are quite old, but not depricated. I am not sure which one is better. It depends on you particular needs.
  7. [ubuntu] Re: Install driver for Tp-link AC600 USB wifi adapter

You have to reinstall external drivers after each kernel update, and since you've done it succesfully, I am not sure what guidence is required.

    Re: Re-install LibreOffice Calc

This happens when the mirror sync is in process. Just wait about 10 minutes, then try again:

  10. Re: [21.04] does the Nvidia GeForce 6200 still work with the Proprietary driver ?

The reality is, that card is too old. GeForce 9xxx should be supported by the 340 driver in 20.04, but has also been dropped from later releases.

    Re: AMDGPU-PRO-PIN Error mesage

Amdgpu-pro version 21.20 is not available for Ubuntu 21.04. The driver is proprietary, so if and when AMD decides to update, they'll post an announcement. For now, your best bet to get that driver...

    Re: Wiping write protected USB

Why do you think it is write protected? Is there a switch/button to toggle on the USB stick?
The chmod command is used on files, and has nothing to do with write protection. No matter what mode is...
  14. Re: Corrupted file in mirror

How do you know it's a "potential security breach"? Just wait a while for the sync to complete, then try again.

    Re: Unknown partition

It doesn't look like the partition is unknown. It is identified as a swap partition, which is usually created by default.

  16. Re: How to install ubuntu over (not side by side) Windows 10?

There should be an option of "Erase and install Ubuntu", likely after the dual boot one. All you need to do is select it, and proceed.

  17. [lubuntu] Re: How to remove Mozilla Firefox browser ?

There is no special way to remove Firefox. It is removed the same way as any other program. The reasoning seems quite a bit skewed, but anyway, good luck.
  18. [SOLVED] Re: help installing some linux os on a chromebook

No, the impression you were under is completely off. There is no automatic linux installation in Ubuntu. Perhaps Linux Mint does it, but that is irrelevant.
Also, you've posted in the New to Ubuntu...

  21. [ubuntu] Re: Installing Ubuntu on Windows XP to recover data from Windows 10 hard drive

  22. [ubuntu] Re: Installing ubuntu 20 in a Desktop with no VGA port
