I had this issue but with backslide extension. Without that extension shell is working fine. You can create an issue in launchpad/bugzilla (gnome 3.8 is not released yet, so sooner the better).

From that comment alone, I know that you do not have any experience at all in software development.
It is not difficult (and do not take much time) to add a feature like that. What takes time and...
True. But something new do not always equates to something better. And in canonical's decisions, none of them are any better (technologically or performance wise). As others pointed out, compiz,...
Not at all. It doesn't matter what time they announced it. What matters is they did not collaborate with others (in this case the accepted standard - wayland) to come up with a solution. If they had...
Yeah, the phones; Those cannot work with wayland; True that/You said it.
Only samsung is releasing many tizen phones/models this year itself (mind you, samsung; the current industry leader, not a...
I never said so. I said that Xmir is essentially the leveraged Xwayland code; and thats not my word, thats the mir dev who is talking.
(Currently mir is nothing but xmir which is essentially...
Do you even realise that the xmir (all the so called mir demoes and all) is essentially xwayland? Probably not; else you wouldn't have made that comment.
...
Well said; not to mention about the MIR display server and how that is going to affect us (how well it is going to work with gnome shell, gdm, gtk etc.). We still not yet have an official iso this...
I find it quite amusing people are replying to the qn in the title without reading the actual/first/detailed post.
Anyways, I am using staging (gnome3 not ricotz; a confusing mess, the naming...
I don't know why, but I remember this story about a sage and his disciple. One day the disciple was very worried/tensed etc. Guru asked what happened, then the disciple pointed to a dog that is...
The gnome shell file/document search is one of the core areas of the gnome desktop. I don't think the staging or gnome 3 team ppa versions has to worry about the ubuntu session. We are not talking...
This bug is now fixed. But the bugfix need nautilus to be built with tracker support (bug report says the last version in ubuntu did not have tracker support). Without this we will not see the actual...
This one: https://launchpad.net/~mati75/+archive/lubuntu
Isn't that the official version?
If I understand correctly, for the time being, ubuntu-system-service will work with systemd, right?
Lubuntu ppa has systemd but it comes with all other apps etc. and Martin Pitt ppa is not updated...
If ubuntu was using systemd, there won't be any point in this thread
That guy basically tells since an LTS is coming soon ubuntu should wait and after 12.04 LTS, move to systemd could be...
How can I install systemd in ubuntu raring?
I saw this page here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/systemd
which is quite old (2010) and is not updated. I saw couple of other blogs/tutorials which says...
Do anyone know how to install gnome-shell-search-provider-nautilus?
I don't get the documents/files in the shell search under nautilus, only folders.
By the way, I see 3.5.90 starts to flow in.
Don't be silly. I am using 13.04 with ubuntu-gnome-desktop installed (essentially UGR).
Go read again what I said. And beta is still a month away from now.
In my opinion, it will be better if we have a release as soon as possible (and not wait till RR beta schedule) for testing purposes. Considering the immature/nascent state of the project and that we...
If its all good and fine (the bugs sorted out etc.) can we expect an alpha/beta release soon?
The win+tab landed in shell. The alt+tab moved to the old windows based style. Now, win key is one stop shop for most functions, great!
@VinDSL, I read somewhere about the new changes that allow...
Okay, this is a known bug; See here: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=692483
If you are talking about the legacy/classic session, then (AFAIK) it is by design, only the hot corner works.
In the shell search results, I don't see the 'settings' (GCC) section under the...
The network icon (in the panel) just went missing. Anyone else has this issue? @VinDSL, In you screenshot I don't see it either.
Or update the metadata? All extensions are working fine here. (Except 'search recently used files' extension, which doesn't seem to work with 3.7 branch due to the changes in Shell search)
