  1. [ubuntu] Re: Ubuntu Server 8.10 - PHP not writing errors to browser or apache error log

For the record, Patrick isn't the only person with this problem - I have exactly the same issue, have also tried various configuration options including copying them from (Fedora) machines that do...
  2. [ubuntu] Re: Configuring PHP Error Reporting (Ubuntu 8.10)

    Hi Patrick,

Thanks - I was starting to think it was just me! So far I've not managed to find anyone reporting the same problem, which seems bizarre considering I've had it on two completely...

[kubuntu] Re: Kubuntu Intrepid Ibex is really slow

For what it's worth - I briefly tried Kubuntu 8.10 (amd64 build) on my laptop - Thinkpad T61 with Core2 Duo, 2Mb RAM but a fairly humble Intel 810i integrated graphics chip, and performance wise it...

Nope - that has no effect whatsoever on my machine :(
  8. Re: HowTo: Compiz Fusion in Hardy on cards with "ati"/"radeon" open source drivers

Okay - I'll give that a try. The first post states that that workaround has been deprecated in favour of the manual one. If it actually works better then why? I can see that trying the first method...
  9. Re: HowTo: Compiz Fusion in Hardy on cards with "ati"/"radeon" open source drivers

Has anyone come up with a decent solution for this? Like adster101 (and, I suspect, a lot of other people) I had a perfectly functional compiz before the upgrade. It's not the only problem I've got...
