It's finally working! I kept deleting the iPod_Control folder and that screwed up the iPod badly so I plugged it into iTunes to restore it.
When back on Ubuntu I still had to set up the SysInfo...

I just downloaded the latest sources from git today to try to get this to work on my wife's christmas present (I'm in the same boat as some of you) and it's still saying 0 Songs.

For some reason firefox will no longer launch. Every time I run firefox it instantly returns "Segmentation fault"
I tried creating a new profile and running it in safe mode, but nothing...
Yes it does. Sorry I wasn't completely clear. I got through when I uninstalled dmraid from the running system. You can do this with the command:
sudo apt-get remove dmraid
or you can use Synaptic...
apt-get remove dmraid
I was also getting this. On the live cd I uninstalled the dmraid package, restarted the installer and now sda shows.

She already questions this Linux...

I just tried this. My music is on a gnome-vfs ssh share and when I typed the name of a song I got a crash.

Just to add my 2 cents. The lame pipeline from the first post worked once I change the rate to 192. What's wrong is that in the Sound Juicer help files they have the lame pipeline with 196 also.
