    I tried reinitializing the iPod many ways under Linux, but I don't think any of them every worked properly. My advice is to plug it into iTunes on Windows and let that properly reinitialize it.

    I'm in the same situation as everyone else. I have libgpod from git, I added Okiura's two files, and I even tried commenting out the line that deletes the files from /tmp so that I can copy them over...

    I was also getting this. On the live cd I uninstalled the dmraid package, restarted the installer and now sda shows.
