I hope some will help, but first this is the thread for the development version of ubuntu (edit: stupid me, it is not but my question remains valid), so you are attempting to install 16.10 beta1...
Hi all, no one else seen a KMS related freeze with linux-image-4-8-0? This is iMac G5.
The kernel now is generic and no longer powerpc64. Boot gets to the point where a corrupted cursor shows,...
There is this initiative, which if successful is a died-in-the-wool linux tablet, from the drivers up. If successful is the big qualifier, as they are moving the fundraiser from FundRazr to...
Yes, the absence of Whatsapp etc is a big problem for many, perhaps most potential users, no doubt. But official clients are up to the companies concerned unless there is an open API. And that is...
No disagreement here - what also is true is that all of the above vary between the various devices - at any one moment, Meizu can be quite good, but BQ users battling some or the issue and visa...
Jolla with Sailfish OS does exactly that and it hardly has become a serious player, even if they are about to release a tablet running Sailfish 2.0

A very stale thread but a small correction: the id 2459 is the mass storage Product ID for the GPSMap 62s. The "live" usb Product ID is 0003. Due to modeswitching - usb modems (GSM,UMTS,LTE) do it...
I had lost track of this completely :) I see that Mr Tsai uploaded a new version in Nov 2010 and so he may well sort this out. I assume you are trying to use the build for Maverick that he...

To clarify, does PTS 2.6.0 (released yesterday) work only with a Lucid compiled version of php5-gtk rather than an older one?
Did you perhaps get around to compiling that deb you (perhaps...
Download the deb directly from https://launchpad.net/~chihchun/+archive/ppa/+packages. Files are still there. Follow directions in first post and it should work.

Assuming you have a solid technical reason for using the proposed kernel (ie. it solves some or other hardware issue that the current kernel does not, because 2.6.31.17 is not officially released to...

It is not there looking at: http://packages.medibuntu.org/karmic/index.html
However, it is there...
