Me parece que es un problema con el sistema de paquetes.
Intenta ejecutar esto en un terminal:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Es que vi un problema similar en el foro de Arch creo, y lo arreglaron cambiando la clave, lo que puse fueron suposiciones despues de que lo arregló.
Por casualidad utilizas una "ñ" o acentos en tu clave de msn? Se me ocurre que puede ir por ahí...
Leí en un post que quizas puede ser porque es muy larga y recomendaron cambiar la clave y listo

Sounds like Rock Ridge... try burning your CD using Joliet (for Windows/Linux). I prefer Rock Ridge anyways

With alsamixer, press F4 and set CAPTURE and press Z (you must set left audio record as 0 and right audio record as 100)
