I knew i had to install some dev package but was not sure which one to install.



Yes I had used it, and during make it failed...

I tried to compile the latest svn release with lirc support.
When i compiled mplayer, it showed



On inspecting the config.log file I get this



Any ideas as to how I can enable the LIRC...
