    I would recommend either a dell or sony. I would never suggest that anyone ever buy an HP. If price is not an issue I would even encourage the $999 macbook.

    sudo gedit /etc/bash.bashrc
    then write at the end of the bashrc file

    export PATH=$PATH:/some/path

    baschrc and bash_profile are the same thing but cetian...
