Snaps were originally created for the Ubuntu Phone. As the Ubuntu Phone has been discontinued, Canonical bought snaps to Desktop and Servers.
Even through Ubuntu 20.04 is very stable and works great, I still prefer Kubuntu as it's very stable.
I use Kubuntu, it's very stable and GTK apps work just right. If you want a stable KDE I would recommend Kubuntu.
It is true. Fedora follows a different update schedule and gets newer software.
Ubuntu on the other hand will come with little older software because of a different update schedule and the...
My favourite desktop environment is GNOME and KDE. I like GNOME because of the Activities overview button. KDE for it's configure-ness.
Btw, I use vanilla Ubuntu with some minor tweaks ;)
That means something got messed up in while installation. Obtain another copy of Ubuntu from the website ( https://ubuntu.com/download ) and select "Ubuntu Desktop". Then install it onto the system.
Oh, I see.
KDE. KDE is just amazing.
This is a good idea, I like your suggestion. ;)
Kubuntu and Ubuntu Budgie is my favorite. Kubuntu's KDE desktop "just works" and Ubuntu Budgie is very elegant and lightweight.
For anyone who wants a distro that "just works", recommend these two.
Ubuntu Cleaner is a great tool, I have been using it for a long time and just works.
I have heard about Stacer, but the PPA does not work a expected. BleachBit is good too, but Ubuntu Cleaner...

I disabled the KDE Wallet, but it still asks me for the...

Can anyone explain what are these "Beans" in forum?
I also found out that I had 8 Beans, but somehow I have 5 of them now.
Thanks in advance,
Aaron
I like many, LXQt, KDE, GNOME, Xfce, Budgie, etc.
Imagine how would the community would react if that would happen.
True. In my opinion, I like snaps. Having one app store for all distros sounds good. I don't care about it being closed source :D
If Ubuntu gets bought by Microsoft, imagine how bad would Ubuntu be (Cortana, forcing users for MS stuff, etc).
I like both Ubuntu Budgie and Kubuntu, because Ubuntu Budgie really looks nice and awesome that I don't even change the wallpaper! I also like Kubuntu because it's the most stable KDE distribution...
I chose XFS! It's by far my favourite :)
Oh, wait, now I understand. Thanks!
Hi everyone,
I'm not a new user (partially new) to Ubuntu or Linux itself, but I think this post should fit in here.
The default backup tool in Ubuntu is called "Deja-Dup". I found it a bit...
I think it's because some Ubuntu .iso can get corrupted while download. This happens if a server stops and the download hasn't finished yet.
