Okay, I'm also on 8.04 and the following worked for me and may be worth trying...
Open Synaptic and go to Settings>Repositories
In the Third Party Software Tab, add the four APT lines

Yes. You need to edit your repositories in Synaptic (instructions here) and then it is a very straightforward process.

I've dug around a bit, removed stuff, reinstalled stuff and repeated the process a couple of times. I'm running Hardy and it looks like Gwibber has been broken by the...
I'm seeing the same issue - Gwibber isn't displaying anything. I don't see any error messages whe I start it from the terminal, though.
Edit: This has also been logged on Launchpad, along with a...
Gwibber is great. I'm also using it to post to both Twitter and Identi.ca. I also like the fact that I can use it to keep track of Facebook updates

I've started using it relatively recently with a Gwibber client.

That reminds me of a co-worker I had to deal with a few years ago. He'd worked at one other company and had learned to do things the way that that company did things. Obviously every company does...
I don't know about Zune but I have found that everything I used to use MS Office for I can do in OpenOffice.
Since there is a Windows version of OpenOffice available (here) it might be worth...
I can well believe that and don't think that Windows experts will have any more problem with Linux than anyone else. The problem is with people who think that they're Windows experts...
They're lovely... Especially the Helix Nebula
I've been dual booting since October (in theory - in practice I haven't looked at the Windows partition since the start of this year). So, with the release of Hardy, I have now reformatted my disk,...
I'm not a big fan of Coke - or any soft drink for that matter - I find they tend to get too sweet too quickly. But Diet Coke has no flavour at all.
Coffee is definitely the way to go ;)
