I just took a look at my Steam account today, and noticed that I can now install Garry's Mod natively for Linux!
Nice. Can't wait to get this installed!
Legend of Grimrock is an excellent RPG if you are looking for an old school styled dungeon crawler. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this show up on my Linux Steam list too. The game runs nice...

Yup, I followed a few directions online to get it working, and Counter-Strike does work natively on Linux by running this command in the terminal:
cd ~/Steam/SteamApps/common/Counter-Strike;...
I'm getting the "missing executable" message too. I guess Valve had withheld it from the installation because the beta isn't ready yet. We'll have to wait on that one. Ah well.
Oh I see... I have to change "Linux Games" to "All Games" and select the beta option from Counter-Strike. I am installing the beta now, let see if it runs for me (I'm guessing not).
I don't see Counter-Strike in my Linux game list (and yeah, I own it), but I do see the Half-Life 1 beta.
Here's a screenshot of the game that I took running on my system:

Desura is fantastic. I just picked up Trine 1 and 2 on the platform. Great games.
It's nice to see Linux gaming finally get a little love with this and the upcomming Steam client.
I tried doing this, but it gives me this error when I try to install the main gimp_2.7.4-2011102201~oo_i386.deb file:
And this is after uninstalling the Gimp 2.7.5 packages and matthaeus'...
Where did you get your version of Cave Story from?
If you got it from HERE, you would need to download the file marked: "Doukutsu Linux Port by Simon Parzer and Peter Mackay" and possibly even...
I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, but there's just too much information in this thread for me to wade through to find the specific answer that I am looking for...

Downloaded the svn from the PPA repository, (which I guess is a bit out of date now since it doesn't have a crossfader), and I really like what I see. The new playback icons are nice, and the...
I'm having the same problems with aMSN and VLC in the systray using 10.04. I've never experienced this issue before 9.10, 9.04 or even 8.10. It looks like a bug in the latest version of Gnome....

I'm having a similar problem with 10.04. I get this error message:

Right now: Guayadeque is my current favorite music player.
Well, if you are taking feature requests... would it be possible to assign equalizer presets to the music genre tags of songs, or maybe even to the songs themselves?
Like for example, all tracks...
I just downloaded and installed this from the PPA, and I have to say that I like what I see so far.
True, the interface is a bit clunky on default, but after playing around with it a bit, I...
