    Regarding sanderj,

    The hope things would improve sadly they have got much worse, hence the distro-hop, i've already stated I too once loved Ubuntu (10.04) but these recent versions are just sad.

    I am going to test dualbooting Win7 and Bodhi Linux 1.2.1, Bodhi seems a nice alternative to Ubuntu's madness for me. :-)
