    sudo update-rc.d umountcifs stop 02 0 6 . #ok

    You may use update-rc.d to simplify the installation:



    gunzip umountcifs.gz && chmod +x umountcifs

    sudo cp umountcifs /etc/init.d/

    sudo update-rc.d umountcifs stop 02 0 6 .
