    I am using Kubuntu 8.04

    When I boot, I get a routine check of drives and I always press ESC to skip because takes long time.

    I want to disable this routine check. Can I ?

    They will be smaller, so there is no chance to unsplit on one row :)

    Ok I found the solution.

    There is a hidden folder in home directory, called ".kde"

    I put the script on ~/.kde/Autostart and now it opens on boot :)

    sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf

    I put Option "PowerState" "1" on the Section "Device"

    I restart my pc and the state is in number 2 again.

    Ok i tried to set my graphics card powerstate to full and there is no any difference with Ondemand. My pc is slow, until I get it at 2GHz.

    Oh maybe it is that I set the ATI powerstate=1

    But... On windows I have ATI on same powerstate.

    Anyway, I will try set powerstate=3 and tell you.

    I have it on "Dynamic". It is like "OnDemand".
    There are three options... Performance, Dynamic, Powersave.
