If you want to resize windows, the best way is alt+right click+grab. Simply hold the Alt key, right-click somewhere inside the window and drag to resize.
  2. [xubuntu] Re: Automatic desktop resumption after reboot

In settings manager>session and startup you can add applications to execute at desktop startup. Also, in shutdown menu you can check the option for save current session.

    Now run in a terminal:

    sudo dosfsck -av /dev/sdX

    - replace X with your device name (sdb in your case)

When it finishes, unmount the device, unplug it, wait a few seconds, then plug it back...

    [ubuntu] Re: USB, Read only

For a read-only USB try this:

Plug in the device and wait about 5 seconds

    run in a terminal

    dmesg | tail

If you see something like this:

Re: Any good looking themes for XFCE 4.10?

The best theme for me is the new greybird theme from shimmer project. And it's the default theme in xubuntu 12.10.
  18. [SOLVED] Re: Unable to locate package shimmer-themes-greybird

Sorry but i don't understand your problem. Greybird is the default theme for xubuntu 12.10. Select the theme you want in settings manager > appearance.
  19. [SOLVED] Re: Unable to locate package shimmer-themes-greybird

I have greybird-git in 12.04 and it's the same that default in 12.10. What do you really want to install? Simply select greybird theme in preferences.
