Maybe its the same packaging mistake in the ATi drivers that's in the Nvidia drivers.
Bug: X crashes and restarts on opening some sites (eg. http://www.ubuntuguide.org)
Workaround: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=4987666&postcount=20
Cause: Bad nvidia driver package.
I can confirm this works: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24/+bug/212648/comments/27
sudo ln -sf /usr/lib/nvidia/libwfb.so.xserver-xorg-core...
Crashing X for me too.. Nvidia 8600 GT with nvidia-glx-new.. VERY strange!
Kernel 2.6.23.12 released!
Kernel 2.6.23.12 released!
Thanks a LOT! You are doing a lot of us here a BIG favour! Keep up the good work :)
If you do "rm -rf", it will delete the downloaded source archive! So wget cannot continue.. It will download again!
Thanks! Im also assuming you have removed the "rm -rf" line to remove the downloaded kernel source? Cause otherwise the "wget -c" doesnt make any sense :p
Just one suggestion, why dont you use "wget -c" instead of plain "wget" inside your script? That way we wont have to re-download the entire kernel source again if we just need to apply a new patch!
Im on hydra.. And the same thing happens to me too.
Even I had the same problem.. First select any of the options, other than normal patch (the recommended one) then select back the recommended one, then press build kernel. Then it will start.. And...
How to build those?
BTW, a BIG thanks for kernelcheck. Just built myself 2.6.23.8 :)

Here in India its Oct 18th, 08:40 AM :D
Yay!!!
Edit: Still no download link :(
Waiting :D
Do that from one directory up :P Fron /usr/local, not from /usr/local/swiftweasel32!
Or, just run this from anywhere:
ln -s /usr/local/swiftweasel32 /usr/local/swiftweasel
In /usr/local.. Tha same directory which contains swiftweasel32..
Just create a symlink from swiftweasel32 to swiftweasel..
^ +1 for a repo :)
My pleasure :)
No.. And its actually better if you dont :)
Only god knows! :P
