Is it possible to use Unity 3D or game maker in Linux?
You can export the games to Linux, but I don't think you can use the software to make games in Linux.

You cant windows-files, which have an ending of ".exe" in Linux. To do that you must have like Wine installed. If its not an exe-file, you just start them with: ./filename in the terminal. Be sure...

Is it a .deb-file? If so, you should be able to just doubleclick it for installation.
I believe the username is "ubuntu" and the password is just blank.
You should be able to install Wine on your computer, but I don't know if you can get your usb dialup modem to function through Wine.
Have you googled for a "hack" to get it work in Ubuntu?
