worked for me on:
lucid 10.04
Empathy 2.30.3
in the UK
Many thanks for the linkage. Solved my CD copy on Lucid. Once I added that renbag PPA to my repositories it offered to upgrade Brasero from 2.30.0 to 2.31.2 Accepted and all sorted.
Pietro's post is extremely useful and once you have the correct plugin installed for your ubuntu release will hopefully fix your problem!

Many thanks.
Allowed me to copy a DVD onto the local disk (10.04 with ext4) , with a few errors, then transform to MPG replete with artefacts! But it worked.
Cheers.
PS Never had this problem...
And taking that to it's ultimate conclusion, the mobile market.
I suspect you can probably extrapolate pretty much any proprietary desktop/laptop driver like Direct3D and OpenGL and if it doesn't...
Balanced Annihilation is a rather excellent take on the old Total Annihilation with much of the follow-up, Supreme Commander, ideas done superbly well in what is after all a completely free project....
There's an Ubuntu PPA being maintained for this on Maverick, Lucid and Karmic here:

Believe its MP3 for music, JPG for images and MPG for movies.
DLNA is pretty fussy about the format for MPG files so you'll need to make sure you've converted them just so. I've found ffmpeg...

My understanding of Linux filesystems is they are highly resistant to fragmentation until the disk or...
I've set up rsync to do something very similar for myself, the difference being I'm manually calling the back up after specific changes. Am impressed with it and it's hugely configurable if you like...
Since I posted that I took a look around at the setting and it seems to be a not entirely uncommon problem (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1305226&highlight=concurrency) with Ubuntu 9.10...
I've not read all of the above posts but just in case this is of use to any newbies on here I had problems getting both Samba and CUPS to start up on boot. Ubuntu 9.10. Both services happily started...
Just for kicks I installed Kpowersave and it seems to behave in the same way as the built in power management scheme.
I can only ever see the AC connected symbol, which is still regardless of...
I sadly have a similar problem under Ubuntu 9.10 on an ancient Toshiba Satellite 4100 XCDT laptop.
My power management option is set to always show icon but it just continues to show what looks...
I'm a complete beginner here but thought I'd just say thanks for getting my Toshiba Satellite 4100 XCDT working. I modified andrewbmartin's post for the Tosh. 1400 entry above to the following (again...
