  1. Software & Updates - set to never seems to be broken?

    Software & Updates is set to never check but it is still checking and notifying of updates which is annoying when you're running fsprotect or virtual boxes.

    19.04 was the same so it seems to be...

    LOL , i'm back on the network installer as i like how clean the install is. :p

    On command line i typed locale and everything came back as en_GB.UTF-8 so i don't need the " gnome desktop default...

    I disabled UEFI on the newer computer so the only option was legacy boot yet it sill chose black for the grub and splash screen so i can only assume the hardware detection sees the computer as UEFI...

    Funnily enough i found that link at Google shortly after my last post and it turns out the PC keeps those Bios differences even after install which explains why one is Purple and the other Black.

    Both have Nvidia cards and both installed with the standard nouveau drivers , when does a different video card select a different colour for the Grub and Boot splash screens anyway?
