    I have read many times of those who 'Image/Clone' their entire HDD/SSD
    Only later do they find it doesn't restore properly.
    The entire process is time consuming and unwieldy for a regular backup...

    Where X = your USB device

    # umount /dev/sdX
    # dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdX count=100
    That destroys the boot sector, partition table, and initial structures. Any operating system should be happy...

    I had this happen recently on an older Box, so reverted to Nouveau as that didn't matter in this instance.
    I didn't debug it
    But I suspect it is a new issue so an older version of the nvidia blob...

    Restoring an image has never failed for me, but I can't recall if it involved GPT

    And FYI I use ddrescue with ionice to both copy and restore

    An example of a copy would be

    ionice -c3...

    I think there is a PPA for the fresh plugin, and this will enable FF to use the pepper flash, it may support 32 bit.
    Obviously some folk still use 32 bit

    I had only set up the IMAP about a week before and it had been fine, then the update earlier this week and the issue started.

    I have had requests for authentication, time after time, and it just keeps asking
    But it's fetching the mail regardless
