    i prefer synaptic (use: sudo apt-get install synaptic)
    then in synaptic type 'xfce' into the search bar
    choose the main xfce and the goodies and whatever else you want
    click go
    relog, switch...

    the 'add-cd' feature said it couldn't mount my drive, which was already mounted... in trying to modify it's mount point i managed to disable it completely and not b4e able to...

    The first and so far only distribution to get my Realtek integrated sound chip to make noise. Debian 5.0 couldn't do it. RHEL 5.3 couldn't do it (whatever the latest number is)...
