just bought a Vizio CA24-01 all in one, and only the meta, alt, shift and ctrl keys are detected.

The bug report for chromium mentions that the "flashing" from fullscreen to normal mode is fixed (which is not true, at least here...
Log out with the cable connected, and the TV powered on.
Then, just log back in, and try to choose HDMI out in the sound settings again. It should have suddenly reappeared.

Comparison was done with 10.04 in mind. Noticeably cooler. Battery wise though, linux was always shorter than windows. Sorry.

what you need is:
iclass=firefox & type=Normal
to match a Firefox window.
notice the i before the class name.
