    Re: Sunflower File Manager

Thanks. :) Beta is still not here like I said in previous post. But, features are added, bugs are being fixed. Can't complain too much.
  2. [ubuntu] Re: Installing Sunflower File Manager tgz.....not happening

Sorry for not replying earlier. This thread somehow got away from me. :)

  4. [lubuntu] Re: Changing default file manager to sunflower-fm

Hi there. Am glad you like Sunflower. Can you be more specific about what you mean by setting as default file manager? Give me an example usage case and we'll think of something.

Re: Ubuntu Natty Narwhal 11.04 waiting thread

This is far from quality we got use to seeing from Ubuntu. Some of Unity bugs haven't been touched, overlay scrollbars work only on some applications. Global menu and indicators flicker before being...

Re: Ubuntu Natty Narwhal 11.04 waiting thread

It would be still registered as Ubuntu on DistroWatch. But I know trusting their data alone is flawed since most people never heard of that site. We'll see how Unity performs but if user opinions...

Re: Ubuntu Natty Narwhal 11.04 waiting thread

DistroWatch confirms your observation. Ubuntu is loosing its mojo. Maybe they are introducing way too many changes with little regard for users.

Re: Ubuntu Natty Narwhal 11.04 waiting thread

Oh, if this is strictly Kernel related then it's a regression bug and needs to be reported. My suggestion is to find another distribution Live CD with the same or newer version of Kernel. That way...

Re: Ubuntu Natty Narwhal 11.04 waiting thread

Well main server has the update ready (am already updating). If you can it's always better to do a clean install. At this point it's entirely up to you! :)

I have no clue but with every release torrents and normal downloads are the first ones out then after some time Update Manager picks it up.

Re: Ubuntu Natty Narwhal 11.04 waiting thread

That depends on which server you have selected in software sources. They don't all get new version instantly. :) It takes time to propagate new stuff.

Re: Ubuntu Natty Narwhal 11.04 waiting thread

You can run 64bit version if you have less than 2GB of RAM. But if you have more than 3.2GB of RAM 32bit system won't see the rest of your memory.

Apart from that 64bit is somewhat faster but I...

Re: Ubuntu Natty Narwhal 11.04 waiting thread

If you have more than 3.2GB of RAM I'd suggest you to go for 64bit. There are Kernels that support this in 32bit mode but it's better to go for the real thing.

That's how it works. During short period of time your software is on their home page and has a high exposure to users. Am not sure about 2-3 days. Once a week should be enough. Sorry about commenting...
