    Did you SHASUM / MD5SUM the ISO you downloaded to make sure it was complete and consistent ?

    You can downgrade the kernel without issue, you'll just the older kernel alongside the newer ones that come down with updates.

    Libc6 is very important in the OS. You may want to upgrade to Focal using a clean install and wipe the install you have. You can then use the newer bluez version.

    Or...install to USB. You will need 2 USB sticks (One to install from and one to install to). You can then use the entire stick as a disk rather than the 4Gb limit in the persistence

    I don't suggest you go changing access to the folders outside of your user's home. You can break your system. Use sudo when you need admin access
