    I have several Dell Optiplex 380 desktops with e7500 processor and 4.0 GB DDR3 memory and these desktops will run Ubuntu 18.04 with those specs although I'd recommend a light weight Ubuntu flavour.

    Peppermint 9 and Peppermint 10 are 32 bit and 64 bit and supported until 2023 Ubuntu 18.04 LTS underneath.

    I've found excellent deals on eBay buried in the far back ads for next to nothing.

    Unless you need a super big SSD / HDD Newegg has 120 GB SSDs for under $20.00 and they work great for Linux.

    I'll just stay with the good old Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with Gnome because unlike a lot of users I like Gnome and have no complaints with it on my old outdated desktop computers. :D

    Here's 32 bit Linux distro Peppermint 10 and it's an excellent Ubuntu based / built Linux distro that's easy to use and doesn't use a lot of system resources it also has an excellent forum.
