I was trying to do a fresh install of xubuntu 14.04 lts.
Usually i create a partition for \boot one for \ and one for \home, so that i can reformat the drive when i need to change distro...

I found out the cause, it was the "without tearing" (my own tranlsation, this program for some reson is in italian) in the Catalyst control center.
Now that is disabled i get twice the FPS.
