Interesting. I didn't even think about that being the possible reason. I'll have to try that next time I'm connecting to a new network.
Could it be related to this bug?

Every time I go to a place with wifi networks my computer has not seen before, I cannot connect to any of them until I restart the computer. When I click them to try to connect, it doesn't do...
Sometime over this weekend--I think after an update--I started noticing that videos on Youtube in Chrome have spots on them, and that's with both Flash videos and HTML5 videos. This doesn't happen...
For anyone that runs across this problem in the future, I figured out the answer from this link.
Essentially, what happened was that the user was not removed from the nopasswdlogin group. Running...
I temporarily disabled my password for my account, and then re-enabled it (or at least tried to). I did this properly from System Settings->User Accounts, but when I tried to set the password back...
That's weird. That seems like a bug to me. There shouldn't be a reason that root is needed to create an application.
PS It did work.
I'm a newbie to web2py, and to web frameworks like it in general really.
I just installed web2py (apt-get install web2py), and I'm just trying to get through the tutorial, but I'm already running...
It works without any issues.
Yes.
It seems that whatever QTSixA uses for invoking sudo isn't working because in order for me to get this working correctly, I need to run it with sudo from the command line, otherwise it just rejects...
Case is actually important. ls desktop won't show anything because ~/desktop likely doesn't exist, whereas you actually want to run ls Desktop.
What do you get if you open up a terminal, and run the following?
ls Desktop
There doesn't seem to be anything untoward in your syslog.
I'll need you to post the output of ~/.xsession, but you need to do it without logging into your desktop, but rather from a terminal, so...
It was kind of pointless for me since there were no issues.
One thing that I thought about though is I wonder if there was a problem with the package that was downloaded, and so thus...
This is likely a bug because I just tried installing and running sshd on my computer as well, and I ran into the same issue, and after running initctl reload-configuration, I'm still getting start:...
Do you have a CD/DVD in the drive when booting up? Sense Key : Illegal Request seems to happen sometimes when a bad CD is in the drive, and the kernel can't read from it.
Other than that, I can't...
Sorry about being so late to reply. I've been a little busy.
I'm not seeing anything from dmesg that worries me yet.
In order to view the syslog, you'll need to open it as root, so try the...
Did you try installing it, but couldn't? Did you get any error messages?
You do want it on that first partition or else your computer won't boot GRUB which can then give you the option of booting either Windows or Ubuntu.
Cut down on the number of addons you're using. Addons add about 10% more overhead for each one.
Can you post the output of dmesg and /var/log/syslog?
I'm wondering if perhaps things are being killed by the out-of-memory manager in the kernel.
What do you get from dmesg? Have you checked /var/log/messages?
Does /etc/init.d/ssh exist?
Are you sure that you're supposed to be using RSA? DSA is newer and more secure.
And why is it that ssh can't load /home/travis/.ssh/id_rsa? Is there something wrong with the permissions for...
I just tried tree in Gnome Terminal 3.0.1, and it displayed just fine in there. Try changing the font. That could be an issue.
