At present:Ubuntu 18.04/Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 Ti/390.48 Nvidia driver. Upgrading to a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. New card is still supported under 390.48 Nvidia driver.
Should I remove the proprietary...
install adwaita-icon-theme-full ... also remove gnome-calculator as snap.
I'm using the Adwaita theme and would prefer a blue or black border..anything other than orange. I'm trying to recreate a simple vanilla gnome desktop.
Anyone know how to fix this?
Got it figured...thank you!
Thanks..but still confused. I mounted the second drive on installation. So I have my ssd drive "/home/user/Downloads" and I have my second hard drive /bigdrive/Downloads. So would I go into the...
Just installed 18.04 to a 64GB SSD drive. Since I will only be using it as a boot drive I would like to directly download files to my home folder on my second hard drive. In other words, a soft link...

About twice a day my Ethernet connection drops on UbuntuGnome16.04. I go to wired connection; disconnect and reconnect and everything is fine again for several hours. Mild but annoying.
Thanks Monkeybrain..this should do the trick!

I'm just bought the ASrock z87 Pro 4 and can say the same. Ubuntu 14.04 Gnome Shell has been unbeleivably stable.
Thanks again!
Thanks Gentlemen...I prefer Gnome 3.10 over Unity 7. Does Unity take up a lot of disk space keeping it? Can i just remove it?
Can anyone explain the difference between running Gnome Shell on Ubuntu 14.04 or running Gnome Ubuntu 14.04, especially considering the former has 5 years of support and the latter 3 years support?
Ah...I don't see the 334.21 drivers in the repos only earlier versions. Guess I'll have to wait.
Yup to both posters. All I get is "No Additional Drivers Available".
I am running a Nvidia GTX 750 Ti video card, but when I click on Additional drivers is says none are available. I understood that Ubuntu 14.04 has the new nvidia-331.38 drivers in the repos.

Installed Libreoffice-gnome...looks alright now.
Menus are ugly in LibreOfffice. Is it recommended to install Libreoffice-gtk or Libreoffice-gtk3 on Lubuntu 13.10?
