Re: Primusrun not working in 14.04

Could you show your whole bumblebee.conf, maybe cutting out the comments for brevity?

Re: Primusrun not working in 14.04

I think you mean nvidia-prime rather than nvidia-primus, it's a different thing to primus.

Nvidia-prime is a new non-bumblebee way of using optimus. Maybe in the future it'll be better, and but...
  3. Re: Are Optimus Notebooks working properly on Ubuntu 14.04?

Yeah, nvidia-prime needs you to log in and out. Maybe it'll be useful some day, but I'd definitely recommend trying to fix whatever problems one was having with bumblebee before resorting to it.
  4. Re: Are Optimus Notebooks working properly on Ubuntu 14.04?

Use optirun instead of primusrun, and have virtualgl set as your bridge in the config file for bumblebee, or use the -b virtualgl setting in your call to optirun to override whatever is in that...

Re: Primusrun not working in 14.04

Due to the nature of primus, it might be worth giving some details of your system, particularly your graphics card. I can certainly attest that primus can run on 14.04, so it's not a case that it's...

  8. [SOLVED] Re: Ubuntu 14.04 Boot - plymouth-upstart-bridge Issue

Could you please not post illogical solutions involving editing config files for other parts of your system until after you've tried them first? It makes it look like this question has been answered.
  9. [ubuntu] Re: Trying to recover files from a crashed windows laptop

Ubuntu LiveCD/USB tries to mount the drives for the machine off /media/ubuntu, but doesn't come with /media/ubuntu there to use.

Really this is a bug, but it's easily fixed. Either bring up a...

[SOLVED] Re: How to change Swap parition priority?

It might be worth adding an answer about the priority asked about in the beginning, for people finding this page through google if they are interested in that or (as is what brought me here, I can...

Re: Ubuntu Software RAID (0) Step by Step

What I've read since suggests it was actually a matter of different BIOSes.
  12. [ubuntu] Re: Can't write a @ using ctrl alt. Have to use alt gr.

Historically, the use of Alt-Ctrl for Alt Gr was due to the fact that many US keyboards do not have an Alt Gr key.
There are two logical explanations for the ANSI-INCITS 154-1988 (R1999) keyboard...

Re: Ubuntu Software RAID (0) Step by Step

While experimenting with this last night, I decided to go against the advice stated here and elsewhere, and include /boot in the RAID itself. I set up a small RAID0 /boot, and it worked like a charm....
