I have the same problem with Ubuntu 12.10 32 bit. Any solution?
Same problem here on a HP dv-5.
Until 11.04 no problem. The issue started when installed (fresh install) the 11.10.
Same problem for me. HP dv5-1112el with nvidia gpu.
Could you please write a little How-to to make 340e device work? I get an error while compiling on Ubuntu 10.04.2 32 bit with 2.6.32.29 kernel. Thanx man!
Man, you saved the day!
Try this:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
Look here. Just a google.
It you add the ppa of Libo and try to install it from there, Synaptic will force you to uninstall OOo. Which is what I did.
Press "esc" while booting and see if the output reveals something.
You havo to open a burning dvd software (such as nero burning, power dvd, etc) and select "burn image", not anything else, not "data cd/dvd", just "burn image". At the end, you shouldn't see 1 file...

Write the [Solved] tag before the title of your first post ;)

It' a bit difficult to understand you...can you login into the system? can you see the command line:

Click on the audio applet (top right) and then on "audio preferences", the select the "audio-in" tab (I'm translating on-the-go from italian localisation, try to read that), once in there, check if...
Weird...the "re-install" command shoul reinstall the package even if you have the latest version installed. did you check the "damaged" packages in synaptic? maybe it appears in there.
Otherwise...
You're welcome! Glad to help.
Put [Solved] tag in the 1st post title.
Try launch the installer as Administrator.
Try launch the installer as Administrator.
Look here, it's in italian, but just follow the commands.
Basically, you need to install "lsb-core".
Have you tried to simply re-install it? Where did you install it from? Google repo?
Hi! Could you explain how did you install Synkron? I use Ubuntu 10.10 64bit.
It just "write" the datas on the RAM memory. Once you restart/shut down the system, all those datas disappear. Your HD won't be touched, unless you want it, by saving the documents (e.g.) on it.
Soo weird...have you tried those softwares on a live cd? Maybe your installation got corrupted.
The username for empathy is the name at the end of the facebook profile address, for example:
facebook.com/yourname
Try with "yourname".
