    That's why I only recommended it for a try. It's really useful to get a first impression, but the low performance and the constantly spinning cd-drive are a real pain.

    Sorry, I just learned that my method wouldn't work with wubi as it creates some sort of image instead of a real partition.
    Though I've never worked with wubi I read you can just install it again...

    Clearly you can't edit the GRUB menu from windows, but booting from a (X/K/Ed)Ubuntu LiveCD you should be able to edit the menu.lst as su.
