  1. [ubuntu] Re: Can't get Netgear A6210 usb wifi to work

    Let's blacklist the internal device:

    sudo -i
    modprobe -r ath9k
    echo "blacklist ath9k" >> /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
    exit

    Is there any improvement?
  2. [ubuntu] Re: Can't get Netgear A6210 usb wifi to work

Because Netgear themselves don't manufacture the wireless chip; they buy them in bulk from those that do, in your case, probably Mediatek, and then they put them in a shiny case and a colorful box...

I regret that I haven't any further suggestions. Perhaps one of my colleagues will chime in. Sorry.
  6. Re: Steam cannot contact the server for the update

If you try the ping step again, is the IP the same as previously? Does it help to add a new line to /etc/hosts?

Are you actually connected to the internet? Check:

  11. [SOLVED] Re: rtl8811au errors on make after upgrade to 21.04

After a reboot, does your wireless work?

Also, I suggest that you use the dkms process as described in the README. That way, you won't need to reinstall the driver after every kernel update.

    Please run the terminal command:

Is your device 0846:9052? If so, try this driver: https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8812au

Post back if you need a step-by-step.

[SOLVED] Re: node that is chosen in a mesh system?

Network Manager doesn't yet automatically default to the strongest SSID. Frankly, in your case, I strongly doubt that you'd notice any performance difference between 56/70 and 70/70 signal strength....

Exactly. Changes to the USB, typically those burnt from the iso that includes a 'Try Ubuntu' mechanism, aren't persistant; that is, they won't survive a reboot.

There is a system to create...

This suggests that, in Network Manager, you have set the method of connection as 'Shared to other computers' and it should be 'Automatic (DHCP).' Please check and correct.
